The inventory lists the 65 paintings bought by the dealer G.J. Morant for Sir John Ramsden at Christie's London sale of the Bernal collection in March 1855. The list includes the lot number, artist's name, a short title, and the gavel price. At the end is the dealer's tally totalling £1522.12 for the paintings, plus his commission and "arranging expenses," minus a £1000 cash payment, leaving a balance of £608.14. A separate sheet dated 1855 March 19 reproduces, in the same hand, the final calculations. The tally, the addition of the commission expenses and the dated account suggest that these pages were written by the dealer G.I. Morant.
